Today we offer you a natural and very economical recipe that will clean and whiten grout and tiles without releasing toxic byproducts in your face. You only need 3 ingredients:

Ingredients

  • Half a cup of baking soda
  • A teaspoon of organic liquid soap
  • A quarter cup of hydrogen peroxide

To prepare

Mix the baking soda, liquid soap (it could be the soap you use to wash dishes) and the peroxide in a small bottle with a spray top or simply a cap. The baking soda will buff away all the stains and buildup in the water between the tiles and the hydrogen peroxide will naturally whiten and disinfect.

Tips

Apply the cleaning mixture to the tile grout that needs deep cleaning and let sit for 5-10 minutes. This will dissolve all the dirt and mold and make it easier for you to clean the dirt. Or if you don’t have stubborn stains, simply apply the mixture with a soft, damp sponge that you use to clean the tiles and the bathroom.

Scrub the areas and rinse with water. If you want a deeper cleaning, repeat the process once more where there is still a little bit of grime, hard water stains or mold.
